Terms of Service
Last updated: August 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CertClue (the “Service”), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What CertClue is
CertClue is an independent study resource for information technology certification exams. We provide practice questions, flashcards, study notes, performance based questions, study games, a timed exam simulator, and progress tracking.
We are not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by CompTIA, ISC2, or any other certification body. All study material on the Service is original content we wrote from each vendor's publicly published exam objectives. It does not contain, and is not derived from, actual certification exam questions.
2. No guarantee of exam results
Certification exams are set and scored by their respective certifying bodies. We do not control their content, scoring, or policies. Using the Service, or scoring well on any practice test or exam simulation within it, is not a guarantee or prediction that you will pass any certification exam. Readiness scores and pass probability estimates shown in the Service are informational study aids based on your activity here, nothing more.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@certclue.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep it current. One person, one account: accounts may not be shared, resold, or transferred.
4. Plans, billing, and cancellation
The Service offers a free plan with limited access and a paid plan (“Pro”) with expanded access. Current plan features and prices are shown in the Service and may change; we will give notice of price changes affecting an active subscription before they take effect.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, republish, resell, or redistribute our study content, in whole or in part, including by feeding it into another product or service.
- Share your account access with others, or use automated tools to bulk-extract content.
- Upload, submit, or ask us to publish actual certification exam content, “brain dump” material, or anything obtained in breach of a certifying body's candidate agreement. We remove such material and may terminate accounts that submit it.
- Interfere with the Service's operation or security, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
6. Our content and your content
All study material, software, design, and text on the Service is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own exam preparation while your account is active. No other rights are granted.
If you submit content to us, such as a review or testimonial, you keep ownership of it and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it in and about the Service, alongside the first name and last initial you provide. You can ask us to remove your submission at any time by writing to support@certclue.com.
7. Trademarks
Certification names and logos referenced on the Service are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe the exams our material is written for. See the notice at the end of this page.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account and its data yourself from Settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, including the acceptable use rules above. Where the breach is not serious, we will try to give you notice and a chance to fix it first.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep our material accurate and aligned to current published exam objectives, but exam objectives change and errors happen. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its content is complete or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty United States dollars.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice, such as by email or an in-app notice, before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of [STATE / COUNTRY] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
