• Rack elevation and cabinet recordOne cabinet mapped unit by unit: equipment, asset tag, serial and both power outlets per rack unit, plus the notes that travel with a cabinet, which are its non standard airflow devices, its single corded equipment and what covers them, its heaviest item, its known constraint, and every deviation from the original plan with who agreed it.
• Cabinet power capacity worksheetThe question can this cabinet take another machine, answered properly: circuit ratings and the site derating, current and peak draw on both feeds, the load one feed would carry alone, the measured draw of the proposed addition and where that measurement came from, the verdict, and the alternatives if the verdict is no.
• Smart hands ticket logWork performed inside somebody else's boundary, recorded so it stands up later: the request quoted, what the contract and the ticket authorised and excluded, the state before with a timed photograph, every action timed, the outcome, and a field for what you deliberately did not do and why.
• Hardware failure and return recordOne replacement from failure to closed loop: the controller evidence and redundancy state before anything was touched, how the chassis was identified, both part serials, the data bearing decision and who made it, the vendor case and return authorisation, the shipment tracking, and the asset record updated at both ends.
• Method of procedure and change recordA physical change written so somebody else could carry it out: why, exact scope including what is deliberately excluded, risk in both the good and the bad case, pre checks that must pass, a numbered method with one action per line, validation agreed before the work, an observable backout trigger with a point of no return, and an honest account afterwards.
• Row thermal survey and airflow findingsOne row surveyed against a week of intake readings: the trend per cabinet with its numbers, every airflow defect with where it is and what it does to the air path, a verdict on whether it is the cause or merely looks wrong, what was fixed on the visit and what belongs to somebody else, and the process defect that produced three of them from a single change record.
