ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity questions people ask
Up to 100 questions in 120 minutes. The exact number varies between test forms, which is why the objectives say "up to" rather than giving a fixed count.
700 out of 1000. The scale is not a percentage and the questions are not all worth the same, so you cannot work backwards to "I need to get X questions right".
No. CC is built for people with no cybersecurity work experience at all, including students and career changers. There is no prerequisite exam and no experience requirement - you sit it, pass it, and you are certified.
ISC2 has run a free exam and self-paced training offer for CC under its One Million Certified in Cybersecurity pledge. Availability has changed over time, so check ISC2's own site for the current terms before you budget for it. There is also an annual maintenance fee once you are certified, which the offer does not cover.
They are aimed at different points. CC is broader and shallower and assumes no experience, so it is the easier first step. Security+ goes deeper, is the one more job adverts name directly, and is the more common hiring filter. Plenty of people do CC first and Security+ afterwards.
No, and be wary of any site that claims otherwise. Every question here is written from scratch against the published exam objectives. Sitting an exam having memorised leaked live questions breaks the non-disclosure agreement you accept at the test centre and can get your certification revoked.
Yes. Without an account you get 20 questions a day, and the count resets every day. A free account removes the daily cap and unlocks the full ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity question bank, flashcards, study notes, performance-based questions, a timed exam simulator and a readiness score. There is no paid tier and no card required.
